Your Generosity Has Been Waiting Patiently. DAF Day Is Its Big Moment

Some gifts begin with a credit card.

Others begin long before that, when someone places money into a donor-advised fund and quietly thinks, “I want this to help someone.”

Those charitable dollars are already dressed, ready, and standing by the door. They just need to know where to go.

On October 8, 2026, The Kind Mouse is joining nonprofits across the country for DAF Day, a national celebration of donor-advised fund giving. It’s simple, friendly, and doesn’t require fancy shoes or a gala ticket. If you already have a donor-advised fund, your next act of kindness may be only a few clicks away.

What Is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund is a special place where generosity waits patiently.

You set money aside for charity, sometimes months or years ahead, and later recommend grants to nonprofits you care about. The charitable dollars are already there. You don’t have to reach into your everyday budget again.

DAF accounts hold charitable dollars that donors have already chosen to give. DAF Day is simply a reminder: Let’s put those dollars to work.

Why The Kind Mouse Is Participating

The Kind Mouse helps fill the gaps in food support for children and families. We work with community partners so children receive food with dignity and privacy.

DAF Day gives supporters a gentle, easy way to help us keep that work moving.

It’s a chance to turn the plans you made when you opened your donor-advised fund into food for children who need it.

How a DAF Grant Helps Fill Tummies

Childhood hunger doesn’t take weekends off. It doesn’t pause for school breaks. It doesn’t wait for the perfect moment.

DAF grants help us:

  • Purchase food

  • Support distribution

  • Strengthen partnerships

  • Keep Mouse Nibbles moving

  • Respond quickly when a child is in crisis

It’s the quiet, steady work that keeps kindness flowing.

How to Recommend a DAF Grant to The Kind Mouse

If you have a donor-advised fund, recommending a grant is usually simple:

  1. Log in to your DAF provider.

  2. Choose “Recommend a Grant.”

  3. Search for: The Kind Mouse Productions, Inc.

    Federal Tax ID: 45-2455492

  4. Select your amount.

  5. Choose “Where Needed Most” if asked.

  6. Submit.

Or use our DAF Day giving link. On The Kind Mouse donation form on GoFundMe, choose Donor Advised Fund (DAFpay), select your provider, sign in, and follow the prompts to recommend your grant.

If your provider is not listed, you can recommend a grant directly through your DAF provider using the steps above.

Once your DAF provider approves and sends the grant, your generosity can help fill tummies.

If You Don’t Have a DAF, No Worries at All

DAF Day is just one way to be kind. You can still support The Kind Mouse by donating, volunteering, hosting a food drive, or simply sharing our mission with someone who cares.

Every act of kindness helps fill tummies.

Let Your Generosity Finish What It Started

Opening a donor-advised fund is an act of hope. Recommending a grant is how that hope becomes help.

On October 8, we invite you to open your DAF account, find The Kind Mouse, and send those charitable dollars into the community where they can do what they were meant to do.

Your generosity has been waiting patiently.

Let’s give it somewhere meaningful to go.

Always Be A Kind Mouse. Thank you for helping us fill tummies.
