Whether it’s giving a few dollars, packing a few bags, or sharing our story with your circle, every action helps us feed more children through our Mouse Nibbles program, now active in Manatee County.

At The Kind Mouse, we like to think of ourselves as more than just a nonprofit—we’re a family. A family of volunteers, neighbors, donors, and community partners who believe that every child deserves to be fed, supported, and loved.

Now, our family is growing—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

1. Donate: Fuel the Mission

Every Mouse Nibbles bag we deliver starts with compassion—but it also takes resources. Your donation helps us purchase nutritious, shelf-stable food that’s easy for children to enjoy on their own.

Even a small gift can make a big impact:

  • $25 helps fill multiple food bags for local children

  • $100 helps us expand to serve more children each month

And because we operate with low overhead, your dollars go directly to the mission—right where they’re needed most.

Ready to give? Click here to donate now. You can even become a monthly donor and be part of sustaining the kindness all year long.

2. Volunteer: Be Part of the Mouse Family

Manatee County is already home to an incredible group of volunteers—over 60 neighbors from a local 55+ community who helped launch the program with love and dedication. But as demand grows, so does the need for more helping hands.

You don’t need special skills to make a big impact. Just show up with a heart to help. Volunteers assist with:

  • Packing Mouse Nibbles food bags

  • Organizing and delivering donations

  • Spreading the word about upcoming events

Whether you have an hour or a day, your time matters. Volunteering with Kind Mouse is not only meaningful—it’s fun, fulfilling, and family-friendly.

Sign up to volunteer here or reach out to learn about upcoming opportunities near you.

3. Spread the Word: Kindness Is Contagious

Sometimes, the simplest way to help is to share our story. Many people in Manatee County don’t yet know The Kind Mouse is here—or that they can help feed children in their own neighborhoods.

You can support us by:

  • Following and sharing our posts on social media

  • Telling your church, school, or workplace about the mission

  • Hosting a small food drive or fundraiser with friends

The more people who hear about what we’re doing, the more children we can reach. Your voice can help us grow this movement—one share, one conversation, one story at a time.

4. Invite Your Group to Partner With Us

Are you part of a church, civic group, after-school program, or community center in Manatee County? We’d love to partner with you. Many hands make light work, and we’re always looking for new community connections.

Groups can help by:

  • Hosting food-packing events

  • Becoming a distribution site

  • Collecting needed supplies

  • Promoting our mission to their members

If your group wants to support local children in a tangible, heartfelt way, we’re here to work with you. Reach out today and let’s get started.

Why This Matters

In Manatee County, too many children are going to bed hungry. They’re showing up to school without breakfast. They’re missing dinner when there’s just not enough at home. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

With your help, we can change that story. We can make sure that kids in Manatee County don’t just get by—but grow, learn, and thrive.

Because when a child is fed, everything changes.

Be Part of the Kind Mouse Family
